A typical example of a common project: a hall with steel portal frames and cross-bracing in the roof and walls.

The floor is usually cast-in-place concrete, in which the tensile forces are taken by reinforcement or steel fibres. Besides a steel frame, a precast frame also works well for multi-storey buildings. Good detailing is essential here. Think of efficient erection with steel anchoring elements fixed to the main load-bearing structure, so that little working space is needed and the contractor’s erection and crane costs stay relatively low.
