Structural calculations

De VerbouwingsConstructeur produces structural calculations for steel, aluminium, concrete, masonry, glass structures, and sawn and laminated timber. We use RFEM software. It is the only software that automatically applies the correct load factors for a given consequence class, which is why it is the market leader in Austria and Germany.

Design

Building plans are turned into a realistic design that can actually be built.

Construction drawings

From the design, we produce drawings the contractor can build from.

Building physics calculations

De VerbouwingsConstructeur calculates the temperature within a construction for given fixed indoor and outdoor temperatures. We also carry out this calculation for daily temperature fluctuations. In the Netherlands, we are an accredited Isover insulation partner.

Inspection

We also carry out inspections on site.

We also give second opinions on buildings designed and built by others.

Construction costs

Using current unit rates, we prepare an estimate of the construction costs.

Specialisms

Fire behaviour of a prestressed LNG tank with a domed roof.
Space trusses: Masts under dynamic and torsional loading, for example carrying McDonald’s signs.
Plastic analysis: plastic analysis makes use of the plastic deformation behaviour of (reinforcing) steel at high stresses. The stress then no longer increases with further deformation. As a result, plastic analysis reaches the maximum load-bearing capacity in more parts of the slab than elastic analysis. This is why plastic analysis requires less reinforcement than elastic analysis.
